Madam'snack Bar

Madam’snack Bar is a Family fast food restaurant started in Embalenhle the Township of Secunda. It is owned by the Mahwayi Family Thomas, the father, Joas (son) and Ethel (daughter). It was started by the love of cooking food over weekends for the family by Thomas. The family owns a Tavern which was started in 1987 and licensed in October 1992 until to date. The customers of the Tavern was at the disposal to add food to them. Then the idea of serving snack like Russian and chips etc. was introduced. Ethel is a qualified Chef from Swiss Hotel School in Randburg JHB where she completed a three year Chef Program. She is currently adding experience by working with “The Arnaud” restaurant in New Orleans USA. Thomas is a retired Sasol employee who was a Learning Practitioner training Process artisans in Mozambique Sasol plant. He is also an entrepreneur who side by side with Sasol employment, was running a Tavern business. He started working for Sasol in 1981 until his retirement in 2021. This when the focus was on business. Joas is ETV collage graduate in Financial management. His role is general management of the whole portfolio. Thuli (daughter-in-law) takes care of HR and Recruitment. Our business portfolio include Accommodation rentals in Secunda, Embalenhle and Evander.
